Debbie
Phillips
An
executive and life coach since 1995, Debbie brings 20 years of professional
experience to her coaching practice of working with women leaders
and women in life transitions.
Her
expertise is the ability to see and nurture the gifts and talents
in her clients and to craft strategies that help them to excel and
achieve their goals and dreams.
Her interest in grief and the potential growth from loss has been
lifelong. Debbie's grandmother died when she was 10 years old and
it sent her on a quest to find ways help people express their grief
and anguish.
In
1995 she started hosting GriefRelief™ workshops to help people who
are grieving find comfort.
During
her career, Debbie was a newspaper reporter for the Columbus (OH)
Citizen-Journal; the press secretary to Ohio Governor Richard F.
Celeste; and president of U.S. Health Productions Company, which
featured the nationally and internationally syndicated television
health show “Life Choices.”
She
has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from The Ohio State University
and a master’s degree in public administration from The Kennedy
School of Government at Harvard.
She
considers, however, her greatest education to be the pain, joy and
growth from the ups and downs of life, love and loss.
Debbie’s
work includes one-on-one coaching; Vision Day™ , an all-day, individual
coaching retreat; and the workshops “Living The Life You Want”™
and “GriefRelief: Finding Comfort In Your Grief.”
She
also is the coach for the Business of People seminars in New York
City with the renowned Gestalt psychotherapist Dr. Norman Shub.
A
native of Ohio, Debbie lived in Boston for several years before
settling in her dream-come-true location of Martha’s Vineyard, MA.
